The Second China-ASEAN Entrepreneurs Forum
The Second China-ASEAN Entrepreneurs Forum (hereinafter to be referred to as “The 2nd Forum”), sponsored by TAETEA Group and hosted by TAETEA Think Tank and Yunnan Dayi ASEAN Entrepreneurs Forum Business Ltd., was successfully held on December 7 to 10, 2017 in Kunming, Yunnan. During the two day’s sessions, over one thousand guests were involved in the discussions and explorations themed by “Jointly Progressing on Innovation-Driven Ground, Embracing a New Economic Era in Asia” and shared their insights and sought cooperation. The forum can be called as a great event about exchange and cooperation between China and ASEAN of that year.
Compared with the 1st session, the 2nd Forum has a similar scale but obviously improved specification and level, winning high praises from participants and all sectors of society regarding its theme planning, content setting, guests, and implementation. Dan Zeng, President of Chinese Pen Centre and Former Deputy Secretary of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee said, I have attended both of the two sessions, and I think that it is better and better. The 2nd Forum borders on the high specification, level, and efficiency. Zhou Hai, the Director of Committee of Beautiful Village Construction of the National Architecture Institute of China, estimated that the forum is an international event, which has gathered the big names, enjoys high quality, and is worth of your next participation.
I. The 2nd Forum features large scale, high standard and numerous heavyweights
The Second China-ASEAN Entrepreneurs Forum was jointly sponsored by TAETEA Group, China-ASEAN Business Council, the Finance Center for South-South Cooperation, Hong Kong Ta Kung Wen Wei Media Group Limited and Ali Research, and hosted by TAETEA Think Tank and Yunnan Dayi ASEAN Entrepreneurs Forum Business Ltd. 1,144 guests from China, the ten ASEAN members and other countries and regions have attended this forum. Among them, there are 146 from foreign countries and 998 from China, including those with considerable reputation and influence in economic circles, home and abroad.

II. The 2nd Forum features rich content, distinctive characteristics and bright highlights
Thanks to the experience of the first session, the 2nd Forum enjoyed more practical, focused and abundant contents and more distinctive merits, which mainly reflected on the following aspects:

1. Tea Party
Following the tradition of the 1st session, the 2nd Forum held two tea parties named “Think Tank Seminar” and “Zen & Tea” on the evening of the 7th. It also held a welcome tea party themed by tea culture on the evening of the 8th, combining the tea culture of TAETEA Group and the forum and winning praises from the guests.
2. Speeches during the conference
The opening ceremony was held on the morning of 8th, where Gao Shuxun, the Member of the Party Leadership Group of Yunnan Provincial Government, and Cai E-sheng, Chairman of Finance Center for South-South Cooperation and Former Vice Chairman of China Banking Regulatory Commission respectively represented Yunnan Provincial Government and the sponsor to give speeches. They all spoke highly of the Forum.
3. Keynote speeches during the conference
At the opening ceremony held on the morning of the 8th, eleven masters from the industries of politics, commerce, and academy in China and ASEAN member countries gave keynote speeches. According to many guests, all the keynote addresses are wonderful, thought-provoking and memorable.
4. Parallel sessions
Six parallel sessions were held on the afternoon of 8th and the whole day of 9th. Each of them centered on different themes, but all the sessions could keep abreast of the times, be full of innovation and closed to the theme of the conference. They all have highlighted merits and characteristics.
5. ASEAN Promotion Sessions
On the morning and afternoon of the 9th, two investment promotion sessions were specially held for Laos and Myanmar, where the heavyweight officials and leaders of industrial and commercial circles from Laos and Myanmar introduced their policies, advantages, and projects for investment, evoking strong interests of entrepreneurs present. The site was warmed up by the active exchanges and lively atmosphere.
6. Fellowship Activity
The Gathering of Members of Zhisland Yunnan was held on the afternoon of the 8th. Wu Yuanzhi, President of TAETEA Group and Tao Chuang, President of Z Ventures Group shared their insights in investment and discussed how to win better benefits through value-oriented investment.
III. The 2nd Forum was realistic and pragmatic and won various practical achievements
i The 1st and 2nd forums were both held in Yunnan, and with its increasing influence, the forum has built a new platform to cooperate with ASEAN, featuring high specification and level and broad horizon. The forum will promote Yunnan to integrate into the Belt and Road initiative and accelerate its construction of South Asia-& Southeast Asia-Orientated Radiation Center.
ii The sponsors and China-ASEAN Business Council have reached the strategic cooperation agreement on the 2nd Forum, and the two parties will conduct cooperation in various fields to deepen the friendly exchanges between China and ASEAN, provide practical service to enterprises of the two, create good opportunities to develop, and thus bolstering the negotiating position of Yunnan in the cooperation between China and ASEAN.
iii The release of the Report on Comparison of Five-Connectivity Index between China and ASEAN in 2017 and Alibaba Research Report on New Tourism
iv By holding the Promotion Sessions of Laos and Myanmar respectively, it has evoked cooperation intentions to some projects, practically promoting the “Go Global” for Chinese enterprises and the “Bring in” for their counterparts in ASEAN countries.
v By holding essay activities and think tank forum, TAETEA Think Tank has organized many top professors, home and abroad, to offer advice and suggestions on the topic “Practical Approaches to Building Yunnan as a ‘Radiation Center’” The achievements will be compiled as the decision reference for the provincial government of Yunnan and related departments.
IV. The 2nd Forum enjoys intensified publicity work and good effect, attracting extensive attention of domestic and overseas media
Compared with the first session, the 2nd Forum enjoys deeper, broader and more influential publicity effect with better coverage.

V. The 2nd Forum has brought in many partners, optimized the cooperation model and given full play to the advantage of jointly-held conference
Among the sponsors, both China-ASEAN Business Council and the Finance Center for South-South Cooperation have not only held the 1st session, but also provided strong support to the 2nd Forum regarding conference guidance and guest inviting. Additionally, both the “ASEAN Promotion Session I: Investment Projects in Laos” co-held with Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the “Introduction Session-Trade and Investment Opportunities in Myanmar” co-held with the National League for Democracy of Myanmar and the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration are the first attempt to promote the pragmatic cooperation between China and ASEAN countries, and the performance has exceeded expectation.
